Benefits
With Abelio's biomass tool...
Determine the minerals available in your plot
- Get a view of the biomass of your cover crops and their agronomic contribution to your soil on your app and on the web platform thanks to a detailed report :
- minerals: nitrogen, phosphorus, potash, etc.
- organic matter : evolution, mineralization dynamics, etc.
- carbon storage, etc.

Optimize your fertilizer inputs
With precise knowledge of the minerals present on your plot, you can then optimize your fertilizer inputs.
The return of minerals present in your plant cover can be taken into account in your global fertilization strategy.
Manage your sampling and plan your harvesting operations with ease
With Abelio, the number of samples to be taken is minimized: only two per area are needed to obtain your biomass map.
Estimate the dry and fresh matter rates of your crops in order to harvest at the right time, optimize your time, and maximize your yield.
Technologies
Our technologies to estimate your cover crops' biomass
Satellite data collection
Our tool is connected to various satellite constellations to continuously collect data from your farm. Combined with accurate agronomic models and your samples, we are able to analyze various indices, including the vegetation index (NDVI), and estimate the biomass of your cover crops.
- Data updated daily to track the evolution of your cover crops
- A wide range of parameters and indicators available

A mobile app
At a glance, view your plots and track the evolution of their vegetation. Our application has been designed to facilitate the logistics of field sampling thanks to a geolocation system. Your biomass maps are then refined with the results of your samples.
- Sample collection information
- Geolocation within the plot
- Overview of plot evolution over time using NDVI

A web platform
Enjoy an overview of your farms and, for each plot, view the biomass of the cover crops and their agronomic contribution (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, magnesium, etc.). Generate a PDF report for traceability purposes.
- Overview of your plots
- Detailed biomass maps (dry/wet matter ratio, species present, minerals restored, etc.)
- Setting access levels: farmer, distributor, technician
Abelio is above all…

Guylain Despax
Responsable Développement Agronomique chez Gersycoop

FAQ
Do you have a question?
Why do I need to take samples?
We need field samples to calibrate our model so that it can provide a map with the most accurate data possible.
When should I take samples?
For effective sampling, vegetation must be sufficient (or even at its maximum) and before flowering.
Why should I plant cover crops on my plot? What are the benefits?
Planting cover crops on your plot has many advantages. It allows you to:
- reduce nitrate leaching (the downward movement of nitrate into the soil without it being mobilized by the plant)
- store carbon and nitrogen for the next crop
- protect the soil from erosion
- improve soil structure
- better control weeds and pests
- provide a resource for beneficial insects
How much surface area should I sample?
It is recommended to take 1m² per sample.
